Arkansas in August
We started the month with a trip to Arkansas.
On Wednesday, Kristen and the kids traveled from BR to Jonesboro with a stop in Memphis to visit an old friend.
Debi and I left later the same day from Lafayette with the boat in tow.
After work on Thursday we all meet for a Hibachi dinner.

Friday afternoon we departed Jonesboro for a 2 1/2 hour trip southwest to the Red Apple Inn on beautiful Greers Ferry Lake near Heber Springs. |

Saturday we meet some of our customers for lunch at Heber Springs Sandy Beach.
 |
Then is was time to hit the lake. We spend the rest of Saturday and most of the day Sunday on the Lake. |

We returned to Lafayette just in time to bid farewell to Landry as he returned to work.
This time he is off to Equatorial Guinea to the drill ship TITANIUM EXPLORER.

I broke my own pledge to never schedule another August fishing trip.
We had some customers from Missouri that wanted go so we gave in.
The weather cooperated and so did the fish. We hauled in limits of red fish and near limits of trout.

Kristen and the kids came over for one last trip to the pool.
Don't leave your I Pad out or this might happen to you.
As Mike finished his training in South Carolina he received orders to report to DC.
This allowed him time for a quick visit home before reporting to duty.
We made a Sunday afternoon trip to BR to look in on the progress of Kristen and Mike house.

Debi and I are closing out the month with a trip to Houston for LSU Football then the first ten days of September traveling to job sites in Missouri and Arkansas.
