Weekend

I spent last weekend at Toledo Bend.  The weather turned VERY cold Friday and the fish turned off.  Friday morning we meet my friend Marvin at Sloan's Camp Landing on north end of the lake.  We fished an area called Willow Island - better know your way around - all those stumps look alike.  It was very cold !!  We were back on the trailer at 4:30 with two fish.

 Friday night we had dinner at Ted Hoyt's camp on the south end of the lake near Big Bass Marina .  Due to the wind we picked our Saturday morning launch point to be Alpine Resort mid lake on the Texas side.  After a rough start the rain stopped and wind slowed but the fish did not respond - Only two more in the box.

Saturday night we joined Ted and friends for some fried fish and home made ice cream - YUMMM!!

Sunday morning we sat at the launch at Cypress Bend watching the wind and rain.  It was decided to stay on the trailer and point our vehicles toward home.  I stopped in Alex and had lunch with my mother then on the Lafayette.


Landry attended 5 baseball games in three days as Michigan, LSU and Notre Dame played.  Debi joined him for the LSU games Saturday and Mike, Kristen, and the kids joined them both on Sunday. Sorry they offered no photos.
