A week on the road.
Debi and I departed Lafayette on Friday October 4th for a tour of Mississippi and Arkansas.
Our first stop was Philadelphia Mississippi and the Pearl River Resort.
| We joined the Traveling Tigers at the Golden Moon Hotel and Casino |
| The Indians have the Golden Moon on display in the lobby. |
| This walkway connects the Golden Moon to the Silver Star Hotel and Casino across the Highway. |
| You never know what ya might run into at an LSU game. Ken and Connie live three hours away from the Golden Moon and decided to make the trip over and join us. |
| There was not enough room on the bus for Ken and Connie so they drove to game and we rode with them. For $25.00 we got this great parking spot complete with picnic table. |
| This is the "Dog Walk" |
| Now that's a real band ! |
| We had great seats just a few rows behind the band. |
| Crop duster fly over |
| Yes we do |
| Game time |
After a bumpy first half LSU went on to secure victory.
Our great parking spot turned out to be not so great when it was time to leave. Only one way out. We got to the car at 10pm and out of the lot at 10:45 and back to the Golden Moon around 1am.
Sunday morning we had breakfast with the Kosik's and headed out to Jonesboro.
We arrived in time for dinner - red beans and rice - Yummm.
| Oliver eating with his planes. |
| Evelyn is tiny but has a very good appetite . |
| She is crawling and pulling up ! |
| Such a happy boy! |
| Nathan and Olie |
| Nathan put a rope up very high in one of the many trees in their backyard and hung this swing. |
| I think he likes it. |
| Now that's a swing. |
We departed Jonesboro on Wednesday and traveled down to Ruston La. I had some business there on Thursday October 10th. After lunch in Ruston we headed to Alex for a brief visit with Nap and Shirley then on to Lafayette.
Its good to be home !!!
